April

April, two-faced friend

one foot in snow

one in sun.

One hand giving

ice, cold, clouds, snow

darkness, doubt, despair

Holding the earth

Frozen, austere.

The other, warm rains

and sun,

Blue skies, light, faith, hope,

enticing earth to

fruitful abundance.

April, let me choose

the hand!
